Peter Peaster

I have lived happily in Charfield since 1966, so have seen very many changes to the village.

My children all attended Charfield Primary School and KLB in which I also served a term as a Governor.

My first involvement in the village was re-establishing the Youth Club in about 1972 as Club Secretary/Treasurer, then a Parish Councillor in the 1980’s for one term. I also served on the Village Hall Committee and was involved in the launch of CHADRA. Unfortunately I had to resign from these posts as my work commitments involved more and more travelling abroad which limited my spare time. Being involved in such community activities requires time, and being retired now gives me the opportunity to give that commitment..

I am also an active member of the local “Cotswold Tyndale Rotary Club” and my other interests are badminton, squash and golf.

The experience I bring from my working career is procurement, management and interpersonal skills. But, more importantly I hope I can assist with fellow Councillors in trying to optimise the housing development, recreation and service activities for the benefit of the Charfield community.
