As the darker nights are rolling in, Avon & Somerset Police have launched the StreetSafe App. StreetSafe is a service that allows you to report safety concerns in public places without giving us your name (anonymously).
As per Avon & Somerset Constabularies priority of reducing Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG), the purpose of the App is to identify those areas where people feel most uncomfortable/unsafe walking (at any time) in public. The issue could be environmental (lack of streetlights, lack of CCTV etc) or behavioural (persons loitering/following, unwanted attention etc).
