“Last year, more than 6,700 children in South Gloucestershire took part in the Summer Reading Challenge, giving us the highest participation rate in the South West and a key element in the Time4Reading project. There is no other free reading activity that involves so many children, introduces families to their library, encourages children to choose books freely and independently and is endorsed by parents, teachers and the Department of Education.”
